William Allen Hicks

William Allen Hicks "Billy" 61 of Elm City passed away on September 26th surrounded by his loved ones. He was born July 29th, 1962, in Prince Georges County Maryland. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Wilton Hicks Sr. & Ruby Lee Hicks. Billy is survived by his two daughters Candice Hicks & Stephanie Hicks; stepson Matthew Pearson (Chanelle); two brothers James Hicks Jr.(Cynthia) & David Hicks (Rhonda), life-long friend Bonnie Pearson; five grandchildren Delylah, T.J.(Aurora), Teagan, Jay, & Sophia; and his two dogs Wee & Layla. Billy had an exceptional love for the outdoors - from the mountains catching early morning sunrises all the way to the coast where he loved to fish on the pier under the stars. He was passionate about his gardening. ALL things green - flowers, bushes, vegetables, fruit trees - all felt a gentle touch from his loving hands. He loved watching Texas Walker Ranger, Wendy Williams, Kelly Clarkson, and pretty much any Western show. Billy loved spending time with his family and was always ready for an adventure. Coffee was a daily obsession! No services will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled and announced at a later date. We mourn the loss of our Daddy and encourage all who knew him to please remember his love, kindness, and passion for storytelling. He will be deeply missed by all that know him.
