Mr. Warren Hall Bishop of Raleigh passed away January 9, 2026 at Duke Medical Center, he was 70.
Warren who was born April 30, 1955 in New York, would be raised in Durham by Frank and Secolia Bishop, along with brothers Bobby and Johnny. Upon graduation of high school, Warren would go on to attend Johnson C. Smith university, for whom he would also play basketball on a scholarship.
He would later, for a time serve his country in both the Army, Navy, afterward settling in Asheville, his home away from home.
In his later life he would return home to the Raleigh/Durham area where he would reside for the remainder of his life.
Mr. Bishop is survived by a son, Michael L. Houpe Sr(Wilkesboro), daughters Secolia (Dominque) Moore(Taylorsville), Secolia, and Danielle Bishop(of the home), past partner Karen Brittain, friend, and former wife Darla R. Houpe, and also six grandchildren, Michael L. Houpe jr, Julian, Brennen, Lishaunn, Cleo, and Secolia.
