Troy was born on October 6, 1983 in North Tarrytown, New York. He went home to be with the Lord on May 1, 2020. He was 36 years old. He is the son of Alicia C. Jefferson and the later George S. (Pumpkin) Jefferson. Troy was a bright light to all that knew him. He was quirky, funny, and full of life. Troy attended the Ossining Public School System and graduated from Ossining High School in 2002. That was theThe last class of the Ossining Indians, and later he moved to Raleigh to attend St. Augustine's College in Raleigh. And, Raleigh became his permanent home. This was his new home; though he always thought of himself as a New York boy with a North Carolina address. He leaves to cherish his everlasting memories and to mourn his passing, his Mother and brother: Brendan Starks of Raleigh and George Jefferson of New Windsor, NY; Paternal Grandmother, Phyllis Joyce Jefferson of Ossining, NY; Maternal Grandfather, Robert M. Starks of Hawthorne, California; Uncles: Marshall K. Starks of San Diego, Calif, Mark Jefferson of Ossining, NY, and Robert M. Starks Jr of Manhattan, NY; one Aunt Cheryl Starks-Payne of Manhattan, NY; and one Great Aunt Annie Nixon of Wilmington, NC; Nieces: Ravyn R. Starks and Sierra Johnson of NC; Nephews: Julien and George Jefferson, III of New Windsor, NY and CJ Johnson of NC; a Special cousin, Essence Jefferson of Massachusetts, in addition to a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. At the present, all services are private due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Please respect the wishes of the Family. Please feel free to leave a condolence, say a prayer and keep them lifted up.
