Sharilyn Hope Lemon, wife, mother, grandmother, Nurse Practioner, passed away at 70 on August 10, 2021 from pancreatic cancer, at The Transitions Hospice Home in Raleigh surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Merced, CA to the late Dorol Forney and Leon Colas on July 4, 1951. She was the eldest of five children and raised in Oregon and California. Sharie has four children and four grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Sharie loved spending time with her family and working in the yard. She was a skilled seamstress and piano player and enjoyed playing when she had some free time. She was excellent in her field of medicine and took care of hundreds of patients within her 52 years of serving as a nurse and nurse practioner. She started as a CNA at age 17, became a registered nurse, and then went back to school at UNC Chapel Hill to get her Nurse Practioner license at age 47. She finished her last 20 years at Glenaire in Cary, NC. She retired November 20th, 2020 and moved to California where she got to spend the last few months with her dad and renovate her home which she thoroughly enjoyed. Sharie was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Lemon, mother Dorol Forney, father Leon Colas, and niece Bethany Vogel. She is survived by her brothers: Leon Colas (wife Lisa), Rob Colas (wife Nelda), sisters: Deborah Colas and Marcie Colas, sons: Brian Gonzales (wife Katie) and Curtis Lemon, daughters: Shaina Felton (husband Gerry) and Jaimie Lemon, grandchildren: Gerry, Kennedy, Kathryn, and Caroline Felton, and many nieces and nephews. Most importantly, she was a firm believer in Christ and has experienced and lived out His grace in countless ways. A funeral service is scheduled for August 20th, 2021 at 10AM, at Shepherd's Church on the corner of Tryon and Holly Springs Road.
