Robert "Bobby" L. Oliver II, 49, of Oxford, NC passed away at 10:24 pm on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. He was born on March 14, 1974, in Oxford, NC to Rev. Robert L. Oliver and Wanda Oliver. He is survived by his wife Tammy Oliver of Oxford, NC; his son Joshua Oliver and daughter Madison Oliver of Henderson, NC; stepson Dylan Vaughan and his grandson Brantley Vaughan of Oxford, NC. He is also survived by his parents Rev. Robert Oliver and Wanda Oliver of Oxford, NC; a sister Amy (Gene) Biggs of Black Mountain, NC; a brother Scott (LeeAnn) Oliver of Candler, NC; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and loving dog Abner. He was proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents Amos and Edith Rutledge, and his paternal grandparents JT and Hazel Oliver. A memorial service will be held at Grassy Creek Baptist Church in Bullock, NC at 7 pm on Tuesday May 16, 2023. Reverend Cameron Currin will be officiating. All other times the family will be accepting visitors at his home at 8248 Crawford Currin Road, Oxford NC 27565.
