Robert Thomas Mccullough

April 30, 1938 — July 23, 2021

Robert "Bob" Thomas McCullough, aka "Brutha," was born on April 30, 1938 near Wagener, SC. It was there at an early age he dedicated his life to the Lord and was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. His parents were Cozee McCullough and Ollie Gardner, both deceased. Having lost his mother at a very young age, Bob was raised by Rosabell McCullough and Pearlene McCullough Kitchings. With an entrepreneurial spirit, a love for traveling and a belief in hard work, he pursued an exciting cowboy, hunting and construction (Master Welder) lifestyle for over 40 Years. 30 of which he spent owning and operating his businesses, Bob's Welding and a popular crab truck called Bob's Seafood in the metropolitan DC area. He transitioned from this Earthly life on Friday, July 23, 2021, at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham NC. Bob was preceded in death by his brothers James Gardner, Clemon Gardner and James McCullough. Bob leaves behind his sister Arlene Anderson of Detroit MI, his five sons Robert Maurice Mathis of Brooklyn NY, Johnathon Theo McCullough (Addisondra), Joshua Allan McCullough, Lamonte McCullough and Damonte McCullough all of NC, his daughter Thomasina McCullough of Lusby MD, and a stepson Timothy Henry (Linda) of Lanham MD, along with 20 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family members. The family expresses sincere gratitude for all the messages of condolence and gestures of kindness received during this difficult time. As our prayers have sustained us, we send our thanks and prayers out to all of you.
