Rhonda "Ronnie" Best

Obituary Rhonda Lee Best (Ronnie) was born to the late Willie Lee Best Sr. and Gladys Best on November 26, 1953, in Johnston County. He departed this life at Universal Health Care on June 12, 2022. After Ronnie was born his parents moved to Raleigh, NC. He started working and sold Carolinian newspapers, shined shoes, went to Job Corp, and later joined the US Army. Years later he relocated to Hartford Connecticut and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant doing private duty until his health started to decline. Ronnie leaves to cherish his memories his children Tellys Eugene Best and Walt Christopher Best of Tampa, Florida, Vernita D. Harris of Maryland, Brenda D. Gilmore and Samuel L. Brewington of Raleigh, NC. He also leaves two brothers Willie Best Jr. of Lakeland, FL., and Thomas Eugene Best of Hartford, CT. Three sisters Emma Pullen, Joyce Wilson of Lakeland FL, Roberta (Best) Hamer of Raleigh, NC and Darleena Holden who preceded him in death, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
