OTIS LEON LETTERMAN III. Born: 3/20/1952, Springfield MO to Otis Leon Letterman II and Bernice Letterman. Everyone knew him as "PETE". He was the only son but had 4 older sisters. Pete spent most of his life in Springfield, Willard (graduated HS in 1970) & Nixa MO. He followed in his father's footsteps as a welding instructor at Ozarks Technical College in Springfield MO until retirement. He and his wife Glee then moved to NC. Preceded in death by both his parents & 2 sisters: Donna Criswell & FayeDean Rice. Survivors include his wife of 11 years, 7 children: Janey Roberts, Robert Letterman, Theresa Robertson, Sara Huddleston, Amanda Coleman, Angie Baney & Amanda Thomas. 2 sisters: Carolyn Hitchcock and Sarah Teifke. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, former students and Co-workers. A Celebration of Life will take place in Springfield, MO at a later date. He was a good friend to everyone who knew him. Pete recently published a children's book "Anna's Stories" about a guardian Angel watching over a family with each chapter referencing a biblical story. That was his life-long dream to get his book published. If Pete could have picked a time to go to Heaven, it would definitely have been now-Easter week. He will be missed!
