Nakia Diaz Allen

Diaz Allen, a native of Raleigh, was a serial entrepreneur, creative force, son, brother and friend. The North Carolina A&T graduate founded Diaz Allen Designs in 2007. With this venture, he offered commercial and residential design for individuals and businesses throughout the country. Additionally, he was a master at branding, and created and developed brands and visual identities for various companies. He also established Diaz Allen, a retail brand which currently has a location in Charlotte, NC and formally in Atlanta, GA, and is available online. He has a host of home dcor products and gifts, as well as personally branded home fragrance, bath and body products and jewelry. One major highlight of his expansive career was being featured in Essence Magazine's gift guide for two consecutive years. He was also the Creative Director and Co-Founder of Rags N Riches Magazine, which was an online publication which had international readership. His entrepreneurial legacy will be eternal, as his brand will live forever. Diaz had a big heart, consistently showing compassion and care. He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Buie, his best friend/brother/business partner, Raphael Baker, and a host of family and friends. A Celebration of His Life Ceremony has been slated for Saturday, February 16th at 11 AM for the Visitation and 12 Noon for the Funeral Ceremony to be held at Rush AME Metropolitan Church, Raleigh, NC. The Burial will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at The Atkinson Family Cemetery in Four Oaks, NC.
