Final arrangements are pending finalization for 1 PM Monday, December 19th. The host site will be The Aaron Chappell Memorial Chapel located at 555 Creech Road in Garner. Markanthony Taylor-El made his transition on Monday December 12, 2016 at the VA Medical Center, after battling a serious illness. He was born in Manhattan, New York on March 25, 1964 to Dave Taylor and Shirley Brown. He was educated in the New York City School systems, he attended P.S. 43 elementary school and graduated from Lehman High School. He attended John J. College in New York for Criminal Justice and joined the Marine Corps in 1986 and left 1993 as a First Sergeant. Markanthony worked as a Veteran Consultant in Raleigh N.C., until the time of his illness he was employed by the Department of Commerce with the State of North Carolina. At the time of his transition he was working toward obtaining his Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. Markanthony was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Taylor and father Roosevelt James. He was a devoted loving husband and father survived by his wife Jade Taylor, daughter Jasmine Tourigny; son-in-law David Tourigny; three grandchildren Justin, Jonah and Daphne Tourigny; two brothers Sean James his wife Erica James and daughters Sabrina and Donea James of New York City; Gregory Taylor and his wife Linda Taylor of Atlanta Georgia; as well a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
