Margaret Perrington

The family of Margaret L Perrington of Smithfield, North Carolina, is saddened to announce her passing on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the age of 78.

Margaret was born on December 6, 1947, in Olean NY, to the late Carl and Phyllis Peterson.

Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and warm heart.

Margaret is survived by her loving husband, Russell G. Perrington. Her memory will be forever cherished by her children: Russell A. Perrington and his wife, Karen; and Eric Perrington and his long-time partner, Theresa. She was a beloved grandma to her grandchildren: Larissa Salem and her husband, Kenny; Maranda Renfrow and her husband, Colton; and Marina Perrington. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Finleigh Ward, Ellie Renfrow, and Emilee Renfrow. She is survived by her sister, Cindy Whitehead, and her husband, Allen Whitehead; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Michelle L. Perrington; her parents, Carl and Phyllis; and her brothers, William “Bill” Peterson, Donald Peterson, Howard Peterson and sister Bonnie “Bump” Blauvet.

Funeral Services:

A private memorial service will be held for close family and friends to honor Margaret’s life. Details regarding the service location and time will be provided privately by the family.
