Jamie Heflin

June 19, 1985 — February 10, 2025

Jamie Heflin, age 39, died on February 10th, 2025, in Cary, North Carolina.

Here is a little about this intelligent young lady. She was our little salmon, who generally

marched to her own tune and always gravitated to the underdog. If she had $3, she’d give it to

a homeless person without hesitation. She was a gal who focused on the good in people. Her

empathetic nature and uncanny ability to listen made her a social worker for the people.

Music was her passion. She not only knew every word to her songs across many genres, but she

also studied the lives of the songwriters and why their songs were written. She often expressed

her feelings and communicated through the words within these songs.

Jamie grew up in the Seattle Washington area and attended Bellevue Christian School through

8th grade. She moved with her family, two dogs, and her horse to Burlington, NC, where she

attended Western High School and the University of Charlotte. She received her Social Work

degree in Fairbanks, Alaska. Jamie worked as a social worker in Alaska, Texas, and North

Carolina.

She leaves her 11-year-old son, Brody Heflin, behind. He was the love of her life! She also leaves

behind her mother, Patti Sproule; sister & brother-in-law, Julie and Justin Ballard; nieces, Remi

and Rowan Ballard; Aunt and Uncle, Carolyn and Mike Crean; and Cousins, Heather Clark,

Shawn Crean, Zoe, Alexa, and Maddy Avery.

Jamie, we will miss you more than you can imagine.
