James Scott Ward, a dedicated healer and beloved brother and uncle, passed away peacefully on March 15th in Raleigh following a brief battle with cancer. He was 71 years old. He spent many years as a Nurse Practitioner at the VA Hospital where he was known for his steady hand, compassionate heart, and unwavering commitment to the veterans he served. He found his greatest joy and solace on the beach at Emerald Isle. Scott is survived by sister Janet, his niece and nephew, and many great and caring neighbors.
