Ferlon Boyd

Ferlon Lee Boyd, 78, of Creedmoor N.C., passed in peace on November 23, 2021, in Durham, N.C. Ferlon was the son of the late James "Jim" and Ethel Boyd. He grew up on various small farms throughout Granville County along with his five brothers, animals, and numerous pets. He was a graduate of Oxford High School as the class Valedictorian. He loved spending his time with friends and family. This sparked his passion for owning several small businesses throughout his life; this is where he would forge lifelong friendships. He never met a stranger and was well-known in his community. He was also an avid Duke fan and sports enthusiast. He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, (Ann), daughter (Susan), son (Mike), daughter-in-law (Donna), son-in-law (William), four grandchildren (Damon, Nathan, Alex, and Trevor) and his beloved cat, Izzie. Being a kind and dependable father was of the utmost importance to Ferlon and he certainly did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly loving his family. In addition to this, he possessed great compassion for animal welfare and his fellow neighbor. He will be greatly missed by many. A memorial service is being planned for a later date for friends and extended family.
