Funeral arrangements are complete. The services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 4, 2015 beginning with a 12:30 PM Viewing/Family Greeting Time and a 1 PM Funeral Ceremony to be held at Grace AME Zion located at 1401 Boyer Street, Raleigh, NC 27610. Mrs. Gldays Mae Duberry Smith the wife of the late Isom Duberry transitioned from labor to reward on the 21st day of January in the year of our Lord two thousand and fifteen. A woman of greatness, she must have been! A great woman that will always be remembered she will always be. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. The Lord blessed her above the promise of three score and ten; she lived 91 blessed, amazing, sometimes hard and sometimes not knowing what tomorrow would bring days...but she lived... 91 years. She took one day, one step at a time. One of her favorite songs was, "One Day at a Time." "When the Master calls me, I will answer; I'll be somewhere listening for my Name" May Gladys Mae's Humble Soul Rest in Perfect Peace. Mrs. Gladys Mae is survived by the following: one daughter, Dorothy Mae Duberry ; grandsons: Dennis Ray Wilson of Raleigh, Derrick Duberry of Washington, DC, Earl Alston of Raleigh; granddaughters: Kendra D. McDade of Raleigh, Kimberly D. Cheek of Charlotte, Venesha McKenney of Conneticut and Tyra Brown of Conneticut; great grandchildren: Jamie Coleman, Jama'alal Brown, Jordan Brown, Doretha Duberry, Deann Duberry, Jamaal Brown, Jamie Brown, Jaquane Duberry, Everett Saunders, Justin Saunders; one sister, Mrs. Dollie Lucas of Raleigh and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
