Obituary for Clarence Calvin Latta Mr. Clarence Latta, 67, of Clayton NC peacefully transitioned on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC. Born January 28, 1953 in Lunenburg County, VA, he was the son of Joseph Howell Latta and Lovella Amrose Latta. He was preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Roy Howell Latta. After leaving the Doswell/Ashland area, Clarence lived in the state of Maryland during his professional years. Upon retirement, he moved to Clayton, NC to be near his daughter and granddaughter. He is survived by daughter, Megan Michelle Lutwak and granddaughter Keira Leona Lutwak of Clayton, NC; two sisters, Shirley Anne Clark of Duncan, OK and Eunice Carolyn Freeman of Conway, SC; brother, Thomas Lucius Latta of Richmond, VA. Surviving nieces are: Rhonda Diane Lewis and Pamela Jeanette Latta of Mechanicsville, VA, Allison Anne Matthews of Austin, TX, Jennifer Carol Sharon and Christina Dawn Erie of Fredericksburg, VA. Surviving nephews are Ryan Joseph Clark of Norman, OK and Jimmy Levoy Latta of Mechanicsville, VA. Clarence's final wishes are being handled privately by family. Events Details are pending.
