In Loving Memory of Charles “Chuck” Mix
July 4, 1939 – October 23, 2025
Chuck Mix, a devoted father, grandfather, and entrepreneur, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, at the age of 86.
Born on Independence Day in 1939, Chuck embodied the spirit of determination and hard work throughout his life. After serving as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne, he began his career humbly, selling carpet door to door, driven by grit and an unwavering belief in his vision of success. Through years of hard work and perseverance, he transformed that modest beginning into a thriving retail business that provided a great life for his family.
Beyond his professional success, Chuck was a man of the land. He found joy in the outdoors, especially in clearing fields and building towering burn piles—a pastime that reflected both his love of nature and his larger-than-life personality.
Chuck was a loving husband to Jonna and a father to two beautiful daughters and their husbands, Elizabeth & Mark and Katie & Dan. He was also blessed to be a proud grandfather to four cherished grandchildren Meagan, JT, Nathan and Ryan and two adorable great granddaughters, Stella and Josie that decorated his refrigerator with their loving artistry. His legacy will live on in their laughter, strength, and stories shared around family gatherings.
He is now reunited with his beloved dog Joe, likely tossing sticks and soaking in the sunshine somewhere beyond.
Charles will be remembered for his unique personality, his tenacity, and the way he got quickly to the point and left no doubt in anyone’s mind about his opinion on a subject. His spirit and his life stories will forever echo in the lives he touched.
