Charles Frances Fisher,75, of Durham, passed away on June 12, 2018. By his side was his beloved soul mate Regina Thomas and his ever faithful dog Ramey. Charles was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, to the late Irvin C. Fisher and the late Ruby Copenhaver Fisher on November 13,1943. He held many degrees including a Masters of Divinity. He worked for many years as a Police Officer in both Davenport, Iowa and West Palm Beach, Florida until a work related injury ended his career. Still wanting to help people he worked on his Masters Degree and became an Ordained Minister. Through his Ministry he would find his passion in counseling. He would later work for the Department of Social Services, putting in many dedicated hours to help families. After retirement he still continued to volunteer his time to continue his passion of helping people. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and proudly served in the Marines. He spent his entire live protecting and serving the public. He was devoted to every job he had and always went the extra mile. He was an amazing, kind, giving man and anyone who knew him was better for it. In addition to his parents Charles is preceded in death by his sisters, Shelia Fisher and Virginia Chapman. Charles is survived by his loving partner Regina Thomas; his 3 daughters, Kimberly Lange and husband Christian Lange of Washington, Kelly Collins and her husband Darrel Collins of North Carolina and Karri Hankins of Texas; 9 grandchildren Amanda, Heather, Christopher, Justin, Max, Mason, John, Zachary, and Bethany; 5 great-grandchildren Wesley, Jacob, Autumn, Adam and John. Several nieces and nephews. The family of Charles Frances Fisher wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Durham Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Doctors and nurses and especially the hospice staff.
