Bennett Farrier Iii

Bennett "Bennie" Hinton Farrier III, passed away at his home in Smithfield, NC on Saturday, September 11, 2021. Bennie was born on April 29, 1956 in Lake Charles, LA to Bennett Farrier Jr. & Janie Rhoads Farrier. Bennie was a beloved son, father, brother, PawPaw, and friend. He was an avid LSU Football fan, loved to fish, listen to blues music, and was active in the local AA Communities where he lived throughout the years. Bennie was preceded in death by his mother Janie, brother Gary, and nephew Joshua. He is survived by his father, Bennett Farrier Jr. and wife, Anita; brother, Jeff Hebert and wife, Cindy; brother, Brian Farrier and wife, Teri; daughter, Katie Poland and husband, Trey; son, Bennett Farrier IV and wife, Lauren; and grandchildren, Anna Beth & Robbie Poland and Lillian Farrier. He is also survived by various nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, September 18 at 1:30 pm at First Baptist Church (202 S. 4th St. in Smithfield). In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Smithfield Rescue Mission or your local AA chapter.
