Ann Elisabeth (Yogi) McManus died July 6th, 2017 at home in Mebane, NC. She was born August 30th 1946 in Newton, Massachusetts to Paul Arthur Clifford and Virginia Petty Clifford. She and her brother, Arthur Clifford, were raised in Massachusetts and then Florida. Mrs. McManus married Tommy Martin in Atlanta, Georgia and her son, Tommy Martin was born in 1974. She relocated to North Carolina where she lived for more than 40 years. Mrs. McManus attended the University of North Carolina and earned her degree in anthropology. She spoke fondly of traveling in Peru with her father on an archaeological dig. She raised her son, Tommy Martin, as a single mother while he was very young. Mrs. McManus married Christopher Lain McManus on July 5th, 1986. She sounded happy as she celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary on July 5th, 2017. Mrs. McManus enjoyed nature, birds and flowers. She was especially fond of her special birds, Birdie, Buttons and Max and spent hours of joy playing and laughing at their antics. Mrs. McManus was disabled for many years and the dedication of her caretaker, Chris McManus, speaks to the depth of his devotion and love for her. She will be immeasurably missed. Mrs. McManus is survived by her loving spouse, Chris, her son Tommy Martin, her stepdaughters Alma Dea Martin and Aurora McManus (Adam Krakow) and her grandson Oren Krakow, brother Arthur Clifford and cousins Phil Clifford and Abby Wysor Additional inlaws, friends and relations mourn her loss, she will be missed.
