Angelina Leone

Angelina Grace Papa Leone Raleigh, NC - Angelina Grace Papa Leone passed from this world at the age of 89 at Transitions LifeCare Hospice on the morning of Tuesday, December 22, 2020. She was born in New York City's Lower East Side on October 2, 1931 daughter of Maria Grace and Joseph Papa. She was raised in New York and attended beautician school in the 1950's. Having lived in three of the five boroughs of New York City, she then moved to the Flemington, New Jersey area where she would live for much of her life up until six months prior to her passing. Her professional career highlight was the near thirty years she dedicated to Hunterdon Medical Center as Supervisor, Central Sterile Department. Her strong character, caring demeanor, wisdom, and close relationship with God were evident in all aspects of her life. She shared and gave a little bit of herself to everyone she knew which truly uplifted many people throughout her life. In addition to her parents, Angelina was predeceased by her siblings, Frank, Sam, Fiore, Philomena and Tony and is survived by her devoted children Marielena, Douglas and Steven Marshall along with their spouses Peter Motta, Bonnie Bergman McClure and Jaime Chailland (respectively) ; her loving grandchildren, Peter Motta, Nicholas, Connor, Samuel, and Amanda McClure; and her nieces and nephews June, Joe, Joe, Martha, Grace, Carol, Valerie, Patricia, Anthony and their families. Due to the pandemic, a memorial service will be planned to take place in April 2021 with the hope that all of her friends and family will be able to gather and truly celebrate the life she lived and the legacy she left behind.
