Andrew Nelson Johnson

Andrew "Andy" Nelson Johnson, sadly passed away on December 28, 2022, at the age of 45 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. Andy was born in Trenton, Michigan to Donald and Kathye Johnson on September 27, 1977. He attended Gaston College where he graduated with an Associates Degree in Automotive Technology. Andy is survived by his mother, Kathye Johnson; his son, Camren Johnson; his brother, Brandon Johnson and wife Lindsey; his sister, Katie Byers and husband U'Ryan; and his niece, Hadley Johnson Byers. Andy is preceded in death by his father, Donald Johnson, his grandparents Grady and Sarah Johnson and William and Ruby Ratliff. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all the staff at Duke University Hospital that was involved in his care. No memorial or funeral service is planned.
